FORTIFIED ROOFING EXPERTS
Build a Stronger Roof for Louisiana Weather
A FORTIFIED Roof goes beyond standard roofing requirements by addressing the areas most vulnerable during hurricanes and severe storms.
The system uses enhanced roof-deck protection, stronger connections, reinforced roof edges and other proven construction methods to help reduce wind and water damage.
Big Easy Construction can evaluate your existing roof, explain the recommended upgrades and provide an estimate for completing the work to FORTIFIED standards.
WHY CHOOSE FORTIFIED?
Greater Protection Against Wind and Rain
A roof is one of your home’s most important defenses against severe weather. FORTIFIED construction methods are designed to strengthen that defense and help prevent small roof failures from becoming major property losses.
Eligibility and savings vary by insurer and property.
Keep Water Out
A sealed roof deck provides an additional layer of protection if shingles or other roof coverings are damaged during a storm.
Strengthen Vulnerable Areas
Enhanced fastening, stronger roof-edge details and improved connections help the roof resist high winds.
Reduce Storm Damage
A stronger roofing system may reduce damage to the roof, interior and personal property during severe weather.
Potential Insurance Savings
Some Louisiana insurance companies offer discounts or mitigation credits for homes with a qualifying FORTIFIED designation.
LOUISIANA FORTIFY HOMES PROGRAM
Louisiana FORTIFIED Roof Grants
Grant approval is not guaranteed. Homeowners should not begin roofing work until they receive official authorization and complete all required pre-construction steps.
Eligible homeowners may receive grants of up to $10,000 and must meet all program requirements for application, inspection, construction and final approval.
The Louisiana Fortify Homes Program provides financial assistance during designated periods to eligible homeowners upgrading their properties to FORTIFIED Roof standards.
Program availability, award amounts, application dates and eligibility requirements are determined by the Louisiana Department of Insurance and may change. Big Easy Construction does not administer the program or guarantee grant approval.
